SpaceX: Just Another Cog in the Machine?
SpaceX launched more satellites. Yawn. I mean, seriously, are we really still pretending this is some kind of groundbreaking achievement? It's a business transaction, plain and simple. They get paid, they launch stuff. Rinse and repeat.
And another booster landing? Big deal. They've done it 533 times. It's like congratulating McDonald's for flipping burgers. It's what they do.
More Launches, More Problems?
So, they launched 29 more Starlink satellites. Okay. Does anyone actually need more internet satellites? Or is this just Musk's plan to blanket the entire sky with his garbage, blocking out the stars for the rest of us? I'm leaning towards the latter, offcourse. (SpaceX launches 29 Starlink satellites on Falcon 9 rocket from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center – Spaceflight Now)
And Blue Origin is STILL trying to get their act together. Another launch scrubbed because of a solar storm? Give me a break. Are they trying to look incompetent? Maybe Bezos should stick to selling overpriced books and leave the rocket science to… well, someone who can actually launch a rocket.
NASA's involved, of course. Because nothing says "cutting-edge innovation" like hitching your wagon to a government bureaucracy. They're sending twin satellites to Mars. Supposedly to study solar winds. Right. Because we don't have enough problems here on Earth, we need to spend billions studying Martian weather.
California Dreamin', or Just Screamin'?
SpaceX is also launching a weather satellite from California. Sentinel-6B, they're calling it. Sounds ominous, doesn't it? Like something out of a bad sci-fi movie. It's supposed to measure sea levels and atmospheric temperatures. I guess that's useful, but let's be real: it's just another excuse to pump more carbon into the atmosphere with these damn rocket launches.
And the FAA is still enforcing some ridiculous curfew on commercial launches. Supposedly meant to ease the strain of the government shutdown… that already ended. What kind of backwards logic is that?

Speaking of California, did you know SpaceX wanted to increase launches there next year? And that Falcon Heavy might debut there too? Ugh, more noise, more pollution, more light pollution. Do they even care about the environment, or is it all just about making a buck? I think we know the answer. (SpaceX to launch Falcon 9 rocket from California. Where, how to watch livestream)
Oh, and the launch is on NASA's streaming service? Why not just let SpaceX handle it? I mean, they actually know what they're doing. NASA's streaming service is probably going to buffer every five seconds.
The Musk Mirage
Musk, the "world's richest man." That's what they call him. More like the world's biggest con artist. He founded SpaceX, sure. But he also founded a cult of personality around himself, convincing people he's some kind of visionary genius. He's just a businessman, folks. A very, very rich businessman.
And Starbase? Voted by residents to become its own city? That sounds like the start of some dystopian nightmare. A company town run by Elon Musk. I can see the headlines now: "Starbase Implements Mandatory Tesla Ownership," "Musk Declares Himself Emperor of Starbase."
SpaceX benefits from billions in government contracts. Of course they do. Gotta keep the military-industrial complex churning, right? Launching classified satellites and whatnot. Because transparency is for losers.
Then again, maybe I'm the crazy one here. Maybe space exploration is important. Maybe these satellites will save the world. But I doubt it. I really, really doubt it.
